The Anxiety Workshop
Bring yourself back to feeling, and feel more like yourself.
Anxiety can be described as unexpressed emotion. It gets stuck and causes unpleasant symptoms. At times, it can be completely debilitating.
Many factors contribute to anxiety, including social pressure, work stress, challenging relationships, money issues, health worries, a fear of being left behind in life, loneliness, and more. Anxiety can be mysterious and insidious. Sometimes it shows up due to an obvious event. Sometime it occurs without any apparent reason.
If you suffer from anxiety, you know its unpleasant symptoms all too well: intrusive thoughts and ruminating. Difficulty falling asleep. Physical symptoms such as tightness in the chest, a racing heart, breath holding, excessive sweat. The worsening of these symptoms can even lead to panic attacks.
Learn new coping skills and strategies to move though bouts of anxiety with more ease, grace, and self-compassion. Learn to use awareness of your body and physical sensations to support yourself and self-soothe when you experience anxiety. Learn your avoidance mechanisms, and stop fighting with the anxiety, instead giving it space to move through you. Build your confidence and tolerance for actually experiencing your emotions in the moment.
